Get a Clean Finished Edge

I wanted to share one of my personal secret bling hacks. This technique came to me on a whim, but I have used it for years to get a polished professional look every time.
When I first started, I used a Dremel because E-files were not a thing back then. If you have a Dremel, you don't have to buy a new machine. Once you are used to working with rhinestones and a filing tool, you can customize the shapes!
Required tools:
Links will open in a separate window, so you don't lose this page.
- E-file, Dremel, or any other precision rotary sanding tool
- Drill bits : Coarse and fine
-
Eye Protection (NON-NEGOTIABLE)
- Dust masks (NON-NEGOTIABLE)
- Electrical tape for its flexibility and thickness.
Do not use this method if you do not have the listed safety items!
There is always a risk of a stone flying off, and you do not want to inhale any dust from rhinestones, no matter what type, but especially crystals because they contain lead. The rhinestones in the video are resin, and I am using a ceramic nail drill bit.
Is this a method you have tried? Would you give it a shot?
